Bogibeel Project: India's longest railroad bridge completed

Bogibeel, Asia's second-longest rail-cum-road bridge completed. The 4.9 km-long Bogibeel Bridge on the Bramhaputra river is India's only fully welded bridge for which European codes and welding standards were adhered to for the first time in the country.

India successfully test-fires Agni-IV

India successfully test-fired its nuclear-capable long-range Inter Continental Ballistic Missile Agni-IV, with a strike range of 4,000 km. The strategic surface-to-surface missile was flight tested from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Odisha.

GST Revision of rates

The GST Council has reduced tax rates on 23 goods and services, including movie tickets, TV and monitor. With this, only 28 goods are left in the highest 28 percent tax bracket. the annual revenue implication of the rate cuts 5500 cr.

FPIs infuse Rs 4000 cr in 3 weeks on boosting Rupee

Foreign investors have pumped in close to Rs 4,000 crore in the Indian capital markets this month so far on strengthening rupee and easing global crude oil prices. FPIs infused a net amount of Rs 1,332 crore in equities and Rs 2,552 crore in debt market.
