World Environment Day, hosted by Colombia in 2020, is the most renowned day for environmental action. Since 1974, it is celebrated every year on 5 June: engaging governments, businesses and citizens to focus their efforts on a pressing environmental issue.

An online programme (CSIR-SRTP-2020) is to be organised by faculties & mentors from 38 CSIR laboratories spread across the country. This was announced by the director of CSIR-NEIST Dr G Narahari Sastry. NEIST– North East Institute for Science & Technology.

Mr Raveesh was the youngest appointed official MEA spokesperson.
Facebook has struck a global licensing deal with Saregama to bolster the library of its music products across its flagship social networking platform and Instagram. Through this partnership, the users will be able to add songs to their Facebook profile.
Saregama claims to offer songs in over 25 languages.

India’s unemployment rate improved from a 45-year high of 6.1% in 2017-18 to 5.8% in 2018-19 latest Periodic Labour Force Survey released by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation. The labour force participation rate improved to 37.5%.
