Exim Bank extends $215 million line of credit to Malawi

India based finance lender Export-Import Bank of India announced to extend $215.68 million Line of Credit (LOC) to the Malawi government for drinking water supply schemes and other development projects. So far EXIM Bank has extended five LOCs to Malawi.

RBI has barred Kanpur-based People’s Co-operative Bank from granting fresh loans and accepting deposits for six months, due to its weak financial position. The RBI also said no withdrawal of amount of a depositor will be allowed from the co-operative bank.

New fish species discovered in Arunachal Pradesh

A new species of fish from genus Schizothorax has been discovered in Arunachal Pradesh by Dr. Keshav Kumar Jha of Nehru College, Pasighat. The name of this fish species has been derived from the name of the rivers where it was found.

Noted Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide. The actor was 34 years old. Sushant made his film debut in the buddy drama Kai Po Che! in 2013, for which he received a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut.
