Railways To Run Oxygen Express Trains Via Green Corridors To Fight Covid

Given the rapid increase in Covid-19 cases, Railways will operate ‘Oxygen Express’ trains to transport liquid medical oxygen (LMO) and oxygen cylinders for patients across India, using green corridors for expeditious delivery.

The transportation of LMO would be done through the ‘Roll on Roll Off’ service with road tankers placed on flat wagons.

Gender Samvaad event launched: Ministry of Rural Development

Gender Samvaad event, a joint attempt between DAY-NRLM and the Initiative for IWWAGE to create a common platform was organized by the Ministry of Rural Development.

The attempt is to generate greater awareness on gender-related interventions under DAY-NRLM across the country and best practices, with a focus on hearing voices from the states and the field.

Srihari Nataraj sweeps backstroke titles in national record time at Uzbekistan Open swimming

Indian backstroker Srihari Nataraj swept the backstroke events at the Uzbekistan Open Swimming Championships in Tashkent.

The 20-year-old Srihari pocketed the 50m crown 25.11 seconds, another national mark. He bettered his own record of 25.50 seconds set at the World Junior Swimming meet in 2019.
