NCC celebrating 73rd anniversary of its raising

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) will celebrate its 73rd anniversary of its raising on 28th November. The raising day is being celebrated all over the country with cadets participating in marches, blood donation camps and social development programmes. NCC has successfully overcome the restrictions imposed by COVID-19 Pandemic and effectively executed the assigned mission.

ARCI signs agreement to support Indigenisation of Lithium-Ion Battery Technology fabrication

International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials (ARCI), an Autonomous R&D Centre of Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India and Nsure Reliable Power Solutions, Bengaluru signed an agreement for technical transfer know-how and training of personnel to set up the Li-ion battery fabrication lab.

Mahanadi Coalfields to set up 50-MW solar plant in Odisha

Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd (MCL) will set up a 50-megawatt solar power plant in Odisha's Sambalpur district at a cost of Rs 301.92 crore as part of its goal to achieve carbon neutrality by 2024. This project will reduce carbon dioxide emission by 91,020 tonnes per annum and carbon offsets of around 24,824 tonnes per annum.

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship has launched two pilot projects with a view to revive and catalyze the traditional Namda Craft and upskill the Artisans and Weavers of Kashmir. The projects are Revival of Namda craft of Kashmir as a special pilot project under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 3.0 and Upskilling of artisans and weavers of Kashmir.
