Night trials of Agni-5 nuclear-capable ballistic missile carried out successfully

India has successfully carried out night trials for the Agni-5 nuclear-capable ballistic missile. The NCBM is capable of hitting targets at a range of over 5,000 kilometers.

In June, India successfully carried out a night launch of the nuclear-capable Agni-4 ballistic missile, in a boost to India's military capabilities.

36,428 villages to be developed as ‘model tribal villages’: Govt to LS

Union Ministry of Tribal Affairs is working to develop 36,428 villages with at least 50% tribal population and 500 STs across the country into ‘model tribal’ villages.

It is part of the existing Special Central Assistance to Tribal Sub-Scheme (SCA to TSS), which has now been renamed to the Pradhan Mantri Adi Adarsh Gram Yojna for implementation from 2021-22 to 2025-26.

Reliance launches FMCG brand 'Independence' in Gujarat; plans national rollout

Reliance Consumer Products Limited, the FMCG arm of Reliance Retail Ventures Limited, launched its indigenous made-in-India consumer packaged goods brand, Independence, in Gujarat.

Independence was introduced to consumers and kirana partners on the occasion of Pramukh Swami Maharaj's centenary celebrations at Akshardham in Ahmedabad.

FASTag transactions at all-time high in November 2022

The FASTag monthly toll transaction hit an all-time high of 285.83 million in November, beating by a whisker the previous high of 285.37 million reported in May this year.

The monthly volume saw a decline during June and July but bounced back in August. However, in September it dropped only to pick up in October and November, according to NPCI data.

Uttarakhand plans genetic enhancement of its indigenous Badri cow

To increase the productivity of its indigenous petite Badri cow, that grazes on the medicinal herbs of the Himalayas, Uttarakhand is now planning for its genetic enhancement. The National Bureau of Animal Genetic Resources had granted certification to the Badri cow, the first registered cattle breed in Uttarakhand.
