Indo-Korea Bilateral Trade Grows 17% To Record $27.8 Billion In 2022

The bilateral trade between India and Korea grew by 17.3% to $27.8 billion in 2022, according to Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency.

In 2021, the value of bilateral trade between the two countries stood at $23.7 billion.

Korea's exports to India increased by 21% to $18.9 billion, while imports increased by 10.5% to $8.9 billion.

India World's Fourth Largest Defence Spender In 2022, Says Report

India was the world's fourth-largest military spender in 2022, with its defence spending increasing by around six percent as compared to 2021, a report by the Swedish think tank Stockholm International Peace Research Institute said.

With a military expenditure of $81.4 billion, India's spending was up by 6% from 2021 and by 47% as compared to 2013.

Indian banks' bad loans drop to 4.4% of total assets, says RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das.

Indian banks have stayed resilient and bad loans have fallen substantially, according to Reserve Bank of India Governor Shaktikanta Das.

The gross non-performing assets ratio of banks have fallen to 4.41% at end-2022.

This is the lowest since March 2015 and compares with 5.8% in end-March 2022 and 7.3% as of March 31, 2021.
