The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), tasked with laying down standards and measures related to security of civil flights at international and domestic airports in India is celebrating Aviation Security Culture Week from July 31. 'See it, Say it, Secure it’ is the tagline that BCAS has set for the Aviation Security Culture Week.

Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT), the premier Telecom R&D Centre of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), signed a consortium agreement with industry partners for ‘Collaborative Development of Disaggregated 5G Radio Access Network Solution’. Parliament has passed the Cinematograph (Amendment) Bill, 2023 which seeks to amend the Cinematograph Act, 1952 under which the certificate issued by the Central Board of Film Certification was valid for 10 years. Now, the certificate will be perpetually valid. It also prohibits the unauthorized recording of films and eases the process of the licensing procedure.
ISRO announced that Chandrayaan-3 has successfully completed its orbits around the Earth and is currently on its way towards the Moon. A successful perigee-firing performed at ISTRAC (ISRO Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network). ISRO has injected the spacecraft into the translunar orbit.
Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Brookfield Asset Management for manufacturing renewable energy and decarbonization equipment in Australia. Brookfield will work with Reliance to explore avenues of direct capital investment and the development of skills, knowledge, and expertise in the renewable energy sector of Australia.
LIC Mutual Fund has completed the takeover of schemes of IDBI Mutual Fund. The move is in line with LIC MF's aim to strengthen and diversify its product offerings, expand footprint and grow its assets under management (AUM) to emerge as a leading fund house in the country. As of June 2023, LIC MF had an AUM of Rs 18,400 crore, while IDBI MF had Rs 3,650 crore.
The government has received over Rs 3,400 crore as dividend tranches from the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund Ltd (NIIFL) and ECGC. The government has already mopped up Rs 5,200 crore as dividend from public sector companies so far in the current fiscal.
As per the data released by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Output of eight key infrastructure sectors — known as the core sector — expanded to a five-month high of 8.2 per cent in June. This is due to a high base effect and positive growth in seven of the eight sectors. In June last year, the core sector had grown by 13.1 per cent.

The Union Minister for New & Renewable Energy and Power has informed that under Green Energy Corridor Phase-II, a project has been approved for setting up of 624 km of transmission lines and 2200 MVA capacity substations by FY 2025-26, for evacuation of renewable energy power of approx. 4000 MW capacity in the state of Tamil Nadu.
