Central Teaching Eligibility Test (CTET) by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) qualification is a criterion for a person to be eligible for the appointment as a teacher for classes I to VIII. The CTET shall apply to schools of the Central Government like Navodaya Vidyalaya. The validity of the CTET qualifying certificate is seven years and the exam is conducted twice a year. The detailed CTET Syllabus is discussed below.
CTET Syllabus 2022
The CTET syllabus for the first 3 sections (Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, and Language II) for Paper I and Paper II remains the same except for the fact that the questions in the test for Paper I will focus on primary school child whereas the questions in the test for Paper II will focus on elementary school child.

Child Development and Pedagogy
Focus on educational psychology of teaching and learning relevant to the age group of 6-11 years for paper I(/age group of 11-14 years for paper II). They will focus on understanding the characteristics and needs of diverse learners, interaction with learners, and the attributes and qualities of a good facilitator of learning.
