According to the latest depository data, Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) had pumped in Rs 2,409 crore into equities and Rs 5,168 crore into the debt market during this month, taking the total to Rs 7,577 crore.
FPIs are defined as those who hold less than 10% in a company.

The President Ram Nath Kovind has given his assent to the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (Second Amendment) Act 2018. This new law replaces the June 6 insolvency ordinance, which among other things provided relief to home buyers and promoters of MSMEs.
