Jana Small Finance Bank Ltd, which commenced banking operations in March 2018, has got the status of a Scheduled Bank. It has been put in the list of the banks included in the second schedule of RBI Act 1934.

Reserve Bank of India panel headed by Usha Thorat has recommended that onshore market hours may be suitably extended to match the flexibility provided by the offshore market. This is aimed at incentivising non-residents to hedge in the onshore market.

President Ram Nath Kovind has given his assent to the National Medical Commission Bill, 2019, which was passed by both Houses of Parliament. The NMC will be an overarching body, which will frame policies and coordinate activities of four autonomous boards.
