India 9th largest recipient of FDI in 2019: World Investment Report

India received $51 billion in foreign investment in 2019. UN Conference on Trade and Development in its report said, it was the world's ninth largest recipient of FDI. In the developing Asia region, India was among the top five host economies for FDI.

Institute for Management Development releases World Competitive Index

The Institute of Management Development recently released the World Competitive Index. Singapore topped the list followed by Denmark and Switzerland. India ranked 43rd in the Index. Out of the 63 countries, Venezuela is at the bottom.

Average temperature of India may rise by 4.4 degrees Celsius by end of 21st century: Report

The average temperature over India is projected to rise by 4.4 degrees Celsius, while the intensity of heat waves is likely to increase by 3-4 times by the end of the century, as per the ‘Assessment of Climate Change over Indian Region’ report.

PSBs disburse Rs 16,031 Cr to States & UTs so far: FM Nirmala Sitharaman

FM Nirmala Sitharaman said, the Public Sector Banks have disbursed Rs 16,031 crore to the States and Union Territories so far. She said, PSBs have sanctioned loans worth 32,049 crore rupees under the 100 per cent Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme.
