GreenBase, Tamil Nadu sign MoU to set up industrial, logistics park

India's 1st Oscar winner Costume designer Bhanu Athaiya passed away. She won Oscar for her work in 1983 epic film "Gandhi" jointly with John Mollo. In 2012, Athaiya returned her Oscar to Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences for safekeeping.

NDDB signs MoU with Ladakh to promote dairying and rural livelihoods

Renowned Malayalam poet & Jnanpith laureate Mahakavi Akkitham Achuthan Namboothiri passed away. He was 94 years old. Recently, he was conferred with Jnanpith award, highest literary award in the country. The poet was also a social reformer, journalist.

Former New Zealand all-rounder John R Reid passes away

John Richard Reid, former New Zealand and their oldest surviving Test player passed away at the age of 92. Reid made his debut for New Zealand against England in Manchester in 1949. He played 58 Test matches and scored 3,428 runs before retiring in 1965.
