Former Mongolian Prime Minister Ukhnaa Khurelsukh has become the country’s sixth democratically elected president, further consolidating the power of the ruling Mongolian People’s Party (MPP).Khurelsukh, who was forced to resign as prime minister after protests earlier this year.

There are about two million eligible voters in the landlocked country between China and Russia.

Govt allocates Rs 40,700 crore for waste management in 2 lakh villages under Swacch Bharat Mission

Over Rs 40,700 crore have been allocated to help over two lakh villages achieve solid and liquid waste management (SLWM) under the Swacch Bharat Mission (Grameen), the Jal Shakti Ministry.

While the Centre will spend around Rs 14,000 crore, states will spend over Rs 8,300 crore and the remaining funds will come from others sources

Bharti Global-backed OneWeb launches 36 LEO satellites

Bharti Global-backed OneWeb, which is a Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite communications operator, has launched its next batch of 36 satellites. The satellites were launched by Arianespace from the Vostochny cosmodrome in Russia.

With the latest launch, OneWeb’s total in-orbit constellation stands at 218 satellites. These would be a part of OneWeb’s 648 LEO satellite fleet.

RBI Announces foreign portfolio investors (FPI) investment Limits In government securities, and State Development Loans (SDLs)

The Reserve Bank of India said the limits for foreign portfolio investors (FPI) investment during the current fiscal in government securities (G-secs) and State Development Loans (SDLs) will remain unchanged at 6 per cent and 2 per cent respectively, of outstanding stocks of securities for 2021-22.

NITI Aayog and Piramal Foundation jointly launches program for home-care support to Covid patients

NITI Aayog and Piramal Foundation have jointly launched Surakshit Hum Surakshit Tum Abhiyaanin in 112 aspirational districts to assist district administrations in providing home-care support to Covid-19 patients who are asymptomatic or have mild symptoms.

The campaign is expected to play a key role in district preparedness for managing nearly 70% of Covid cases at home.

NITI Aayog picks Moga for the pilot project of 1 billion saplings

RBI allows banks to charge Rs 21 for post limit ATM transactions from January 1

The Reserve Bank permitted banks to increase charges for cash and non-cash ATM transactions beyond free monthly permissible limit from next year. Bank customers will have to pay Rs 21 per transaction, instead of Rs 20, with effect from January 1, 2022, if they exceed the monthly limit of free transactions.

Five free transactions every month from their own bank ATMs.
