MoFPI signs MoU with Department of Animal husbandry and Dairying to improve livestock sector

An MoU was signed between the Department of Animal husbandry (DAHD) and Dairying and the Ministry of Food Processing Industry (MoFPI). This MoU will facilitate extension of benefits to dairy entrepreneurs and dairy industries through convergence of various schemes of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying.

SC allows Centre to disinvest its remaining shares in Hindustan Zinc Ltd

The Supreme Court has allowed the Central Government to disinvest its remaining shares in Hindustan Zinc Limited. The Bench of Justice D.Y. Chandrachud and A.S. Bopanna held that the Centre can disinvest the remaining 29.5 percent of its shares in Hindustan Zinc, since it is not a government company anymore.

India reaffirmed its strong commitment to strengthening Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) in the 21st Annual Council of Ministers (COM) meeting. The largest and pre-eminent organization in the Indian Ocean Region, is promoting peace, security, and prosperity in the region as well as in the wider Indo-Pacific. IORA COM was held in a hybrid format in Dhaka.

Cabinet approves USOF scheme for provision of mobile services in Uncovered Villages of Aspirational Districts across five states

The Union Cabinet, chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has given its approval for provisioning of mobile services in Uncovered Villages of Aspirational Districts across five States of Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra & Odisha. The project would be funded by the Universal Service Obligation Fund (USOF).

The project will be completed within 18 months after the signing of the Agreement.

PM Modi to lay foundation stone of ultra mega solar park in Jhansi

The Jhansi project is one of the three ultra-mega solar parks that are proposed to be set up in the region to generate 2,000 MW solar power in "plug and play mode" under the Centre's Ultra Mega Renewable Energy Power Parks (UMREPP) scheme. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of the 600 MW ultra-mega solar park in Jhansi.

India re-elected to UNESCO executive board for 2021-25 term

India gets reelected to the Executive Board of UNESCO with 164 votes for the term 2021-25,” the Paris-based Permanent Delegation of India to UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation). India has been reelected to the UNESCO Executive Board, one of the three constitutional organs of the United Nations, for the 2021-25 term.
