Infosys, Rolls-Royce launch Aerospace Engineering and digital innovation centre

IT company Infosys and industrial technology firm Rolls-Royce launched a joint aerospace engineering research centre in Bengaluru.

In December 2020, the two companies had announced a collaboration for sourcing engineering and R&D services for Rolls-Royce's civil aerospace business, whereby Rolls-Royce transitioned a significant part of its engineering centre capabilities.

Cabinet approves extension of Atal Innovation Mission till March 2023

The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the continuation of Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), till March 2023.

The mission has been set up under the NITI Aayog, in accordance with the finance minister's declaration in the 2015 Budget speech.

The AIM has focused on both infrastructure creation and institution building.

Anti-Tank Guided Missile 'HELINA' Successfully Flight-Tested

India has successfully flight-tested Helina, an anti-tank guided missile (ATGM), in Pokhran. The test was part of user validation trials of the third generation ‘fire and forget’ class missiles developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).

The flight test was conducted by teams from DRDO, the Army and the Air Force.
