Lord Buddha's Holy Relics from India reach Mongolia for Buddha Purnima festivities

India's retail inflation eases to 7.04%

The retail inflation in May was estimated at 7.04 per cent, according to government data.The inflation has eased from a near eight-year high of 7.79 per cent recorded in April.

Inflation in the food basket was 7.97 per cent in May this year, marginally lower than 8.31 per cent in the previous month.

India’s forex reserves slide by $306 million to $601 billion

India’s foreign exchange (forex) reserves fell by $306 million to $601.057 billion for the week ended June 3 dragged by a sharp decline in the value of foreign currency assets.

In the previous week, the reserves had increased by $3.854 billion to $601.363 billion.

Gold reserves dipped by $74 million to $40.843 billion.
