Gross GST Revenue Collected In The Month Of July 2022 Is Rs 1,48,995 Crores, The Second Highest Ever

Over 1,48,995 crore rupees gross GST revenue has been collected in July 2022. Finance Ministry said, GST Revenue collection for July is second highest ever and 28 per cent higher than the revenues in the same month last year.

The government has settled 32 thousand 365 crore rupees to CGST and 26 thousand 774 crore rupees to SGST from IGST.

India-Oman joint military exercise Al Najah-IV kicks off

Joint military Exercise AL NAJAH -IV between contingents of the Indian Army & the Royal Army of Oman started at the Foreign Training Node of Mahajan Field Firing Range in Bikaner, Rajasthan.

The Royal Army of Oman contingent comprises 60 personnel from the Sultan of Oman Parachute Regiment, The Indian Army is represented by troops from the 18 Mechanised Infantry Battalion.

The Indian government has activated bilateral air service agreements with 116 countries and is allowing foreign carriers to serve India to add more flights to the country’s metropolitan cities.

The countries with which India has signed bilateral air service agreements include those in Asia, Europe, Middle East and South America.

Indian stealth frigate carries out military drills with French warships in North Atlantic Ocean

Indian stealth frigate INS Tarkash conducted a maritime partnership exercise (MPX) with French warships in the North Atlantic Ocean last week.

INS Tarkash carried out various drills with French fleet tanker FS Somme, followed by joint air operations with maritime surveillance aircraft Falcon 50.

In March, the Indian and French navies carried out a five-day mega wargame.

India has identified 20 heritage sites, including two ancient mounds at Haryana's Rakhigarhi and the age-old Anangtal in Delhi, for the national importance tag.

The other sites include rock painting at Chintakunta, Andhra Pradesh; rock art site Murgi at Rdanag, Leh; Kaleshwar Mahadev Temple, Kalesar (Manyala Panchayat), Himachal Pradesh.

India will be part of a mega air combat exercise in Australia this month that is set to witness the participation of around 100 aircraft and 2,500 military personnel from 17 countries. India's participation in the exercise, "Pitch Black".

The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) considers "Pitch Black" as its "capstone" international engagement activity.

India's power consumption grows 3.8 pc to 128.38 bn units in July

India's power consumption grew marginally by 3.8 per cent year-on-year to 128.38 billion units (BU) in July amid widespread rains in the country, according to power ministry data. Power consumption in July last year was recorded at 123.72 BU, which was higher than 112.14 BU in the same month of 2020.

The peak power supply stood at 200.53 GW in July 2021.

Unclaimed deposits: RBI launches awareness campaign

According to RBI norms, balances in savings/current accounts that are not operated for 10 years, or term deposits not claimed within 10 years from the date of maturity, are classified as "unclaimed deposits". After this, banks transfer such money to the 'depositor education and awareness fund' maintained by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

SIDBI, SVC bank partner to strengthen credit flow to MSMEs

The SVC Co-operative Bank (SVC Bank) has entered into an agreement with the Small Industries Development Bank in India (SIDBI) to improve the flow of credit to the MSMEs.

This is SIDBI's first such agreement executed with a UCB. SIDBI will sign more such Agreements with other UCBs and RRBs across various States.

Number of airports nearly double to 141 since 2014, 3 new air operators certified: Scindia

There are 141 operational airports in the country, which include eight heliports, and two waterdromes, while air operators certificate have been issued to three carriers – Jet Airways, Akasa Air and IndiaOne Air, the Union Civil Aviation Minister, Jyotiraditya Scindia, said.

According to him, there were 74 airports with schedule operations in the country till 2014.
