GIC Re appoints Ramaswamy N as Chairman and Managing Director

General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC Re) appointed Ramaswamy Narayanan as its new Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), effective from October 1, 2023.

He will replace Devesh Srivastava, whose four-year term ended in September.

Financial Services Institution Bureau (FSIB) recommended Ramaswamy as the head of GIC Re in June 2023.

RBI forms external working group on expected credit loss framework
