RRB Group D stands for Railway Recruitment Board Group D Examination. This exam is conducted every year to recruit candidates for various Group D posts in the Indian Railways. As per the notification released by the Railway Recruitment Board, the RRB Group D eligibility criteria include an age limit ranging from 18 to 36 years, with provisions for age relaxation as per government rules.

The qualification for the group D exam is a Class 10 pass certificate. The RRB Group D Level 1 application process started on 23rd January 2025, and aspirants can apply online until 22nd February 2025.

The Railway Recruitment Board has released the notification to recruit candidates for posts such as Track Maintainer Grade-IV, Helper/Assistant, Assistant Pointsman, and others. RRB Group D Nationality 2025

To fill out the application form for the exam, candidates must belong to one of the following RRB Group D Nationality categories:

  1. An Indian citizen.
  2. A citizen of Nepal.
  3. A citizen of Bhutan.
  4. A Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, intending to permanently settle in India.
  5. A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam intends to permanently settle in India.

Note: Candidates from categories 2, 3, 4, and 5 must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

RRB Group D Age Limit 2025

This year, the RRB Group D Notification 2025 was released with an updated upper age limit. To support candidates impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, a one-time age relaxation of 3 years has been provided, allowing those who exceeded the age limit to apply for Railway recruitment.

Railway Group D Educational Qualification

Candidates preparing to apply online must meet the required educational qualifications by 22nd February 2025. The details of eligibility for RRB Group D qualification are as follows:

The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is an important part of the RRB Group D Level 1 selection process, as candidates who clear the Computer Based Test will further appear for the Physical Test, which follows:
