The RRB NTPC Exam Pattern for Computer Based Test 1 has been outlined in the table below.

  • The total time allowed for the exam will be 90 minutes (120 Minutes in case of PwD candidates).
  • The questions will be in an objective format with multiple-choice answers.
  • Qualifying Marks: UR-40%, EWS40%, OBC (Non creamy layer) -30%, SC-30%, ST-25%.
  • The Mathematics and General Intelligence & Reasoning sections will each consist of 30 questions, while the General Awareness section will have 40 questions.
  • Negative marking applies, with 1/3 of a mark deducted for every incorrect response.
  • The number of candidates to be shortlisted will be 20 times the community-wise vacancies for the posts announced by the RRB, based on their performance in the 1st Stage CBT and their preferences for posts.

  • Candidates will be shortlisted for the 2nd Stage CBT according to their merit, using the normalized scores from the 1st Stage CBT.

RRB NTPC Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) 2024

To qualify, candidates must achieve a minimum T-Score of 42 marks in each test battery. Candidates must pass each test battery of the CBAT to be considered for the Station Master (SM) or Traffic Assistant (TA) posts.
