SSC Selection Post Phase 12 Detailed Eligibility
Nationality
A candidate must be either:
(a) A citizen of India, or
(b) A subject of Nepal, or
(c) A subject of Bhutan, or
(d) A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January 1962 to permanently settle in India, or
(e) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam to permanently settle in India.

For the posts for which the age limit is 18-37 years | Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-01-1987 and not later than 01-01-2006. |
For the posts for which the age limit is 18-42 years | Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-01-1982 and not later than 01-01-2006. |
For the posts for which the age limit is 20-25 years | Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-01-1999 and not later than 01-01-2004. |
For the posts for which age limit is 21-25 years | Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-01-1999 and not later than 01-01-2003. |
For the posts for which the age limit is 21-28 years | Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-01-1996 and not later than 01-01-2003. |
For the posts for which the age limit is 21-30 years | Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-01-1994 and not later than 01-01-2003. |
For the posts for which the age limit is 25-30 years | Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-01-1994 and not later than 01-01-1999. |
Proof for Date of Birth: The Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation/ Secondary Examination Certificate or an equivalent certificate only will be accepted by the Commission for determining the age eligibility and no subsequent request for its change will be considered or granted.
Age Limit Relaxation
Certain sections of candidates are entitled to age relaxation. The age limits for the same are as detailed in the table below.

For Group ‘C’ Posts Only
The following age relaxations are applied to only those candidates who are applying to Group C posts.

Educational Qualification
The education qualifications for candidates applying at the Matric, Intermediate level, and Graduate level are different from each other. The details below show the educational criteria set by the SSC.
At Matric Level
The Candidates who applied for the SSC Selection post-examination should have Passed the Class 10th (High School) Exam from the Recognized Board.
At Intermediate Level
The Candidates who have applied for the SSC Selection Post Examination at the intermediate level should have passed the Class 12th (Intermediate) Exam from the Recognized Board.
At Graduation Level
The Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Any Stream from a Recognized University in India if he has applied for the SSC Selection post examination at the Graduation level.
