Chinese firm unveils plans to provide free worldwide WiFi with 272 satellites

A Chinese internet technology firm LinkSure Network planning to launch a constellation of 272 satellites by 2026 with an aim to provide free Wi-Fi service worldwide. LinkSure Network founded in Shanghai in 2013.

UNESCO adds reggae music to its list of international cultural treasures

The United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization added reggae music, born in the 1960s and made famous by artists like Bob Marley and Peter Tosh, to its list of “intangible heritage” for the world to treasure. Reggae is unique Jamaican.

UK amends weapons bill to ensure the right to possession of kirpans by Sikhs

The UK government amends Offensive Weapons Bill 2018 to ensure that it would not impact the right of the British Sikh community to possess and supply kirpans, or religious swords. The bill involves a new offence of possessing certain offensive weapons.

India has highest number of children and adolescents living with HIV in South Asia: UNICEF

As per UNICEF 1,20,000 children and adolescents aged 0-19 were living with HIV in India in 2017 the highest number in South Asia. About 80 adolescents will be dying of AIDS every day globally by 2030 as per UNICEF.
