NDTV’s Ravish Kumar has been named for the prestigious Ramon Magsaysay Award for ‘harnessing journalism to give voice to the voiceless’ and his ‘unfaltering commitment to professional, ethical journalism of the highest standards’.
He is among the five recipients of the 2019 Magsaysay award.
Siddhartha Mohanty has assumed charge as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the LIC Housing Finance (LIC HFL). Prior to this, Mohanty was the company's COO. He served as the Executive Director - Legal of Life Insurance Corporation of India.

Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani has launched the ‘Vhali Dikri Yojana’. Under the scheme, govt will pay ₹ 4000 to every girl child at the time of admission to Standard 4th, ₹ 6000 at IX standard admission, ₹ 1 Lakh at higher education admission at the age of 18.
The scheme will provide ₹ 1 Lakh at the time of marriage.
In Shooting, Adarsh Singh won the gold medal in both the men & junior 25 m rapid fire pistol event at the Sardar Sajjan Singh Sethi Memorial Masters competition in New Delhi. In the junior event, Vijayveer Sidhu of Chandigarh was defeated by Adarsh Singh.
Haryana's Ayush Sangwan won a bronze medal in the Junior event.
