Indian Railways Collaborates With IIT Madras to Develop 'Indigenous' Hyperloop Technology

The Ministry of Railways will work with the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras to develop an “indigenous" hyperloop system. It is also believed the ministry will help establish a Centre of Excellence for Hyperloop Technologies at the premier institute. It was also stated that IIT Madras would receive Rs 8.34 crore in funding from the Indian Railways for this project.

Fourth edition of Indian Navy-Bangladesh Navy Coordinated Patrol CORPAT commences in Northern Bay of Bengal

The fourth edition of the Indian Navy-Bangladesh Navy Coordinated Patrol CORPAT commenced in the Northern Bay of Bengal.

Indian Navy and Bangladesh Navy units will undertake joint patrolling along the International Maritime Boundary Line IMBL.

The last IN-BN CORPAT was conducted in October 2020.

Haryana beat Jharkhand 2-0 to win Hockey India Sub-Junior Women's National Championship in Imphal

Haryana registered a 2-0 win over Jharkhand to win the title of the 12th Hockey India Sub-Junior Women National Championship hosted by Manipur Hockey under the aegis of Hockey India here at Hockey Stadium, Khuman Lampak.

Riya (13th) and Sejal (39th) scored a goal each to help Hockey Haryana successfully defend the title.

Telecom and IT minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has visited the 5G test-bed at IIT Madras and successfully tested a 5G call on an indigenously-developed network.

The test-bed had been inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

This is the first step towards making the solution feasible commercially.

St Vincent and India to sign MOU on Health and Medicine

The Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines will sign two Memoranda of Understanding – MOU with the Government of India.

According to the Agency for Public Information – API, the first memorandum of understanding between both countries will be on automatic exchange of information and assistance in collection of taxes. The other MOU will be on Health and Medicine.

A team of experts from the National Geographic Society has installed the "world’s highest weather station" on Mt. Everest at an altitude of 8,830m to automatically measure various meteorological phenomena.

The automatic weather station was installed a few metres below the summit point (8,848.86 metres).
