National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH), a constituent body of the Quality Council of India (QCI), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India (RSSDI), to advance quality and consistency of diabetes care in India through the use of robust clinical and digital health standards.
RSSDI is India’s largest professional body representing over 12,000 diabetes care providers across the country.
Under the MoU, NABH and RSSDI will collaborate closely to enhance NABH’s Accreditation Standards for Allopathic Clinics for specific needs of diabetes care, and develop digital health standards for Clinic Management Systems (CMS) for better management of diabetes.
RSSDI will actively promote certification of NABH’s Allopathic Clinic Accreditation Standards across its member base, resulting in better and standardised diabetes care across the country, and helping in decreasing morbidity and complications resulting from diabetes.

President Droupadi Murmu has appointed K Sanjay Murthy, an IAS officer of the 1989 batch, as the new Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India, according to a government notification.
Murthy, who belongs to the Andhra Pradesh cadre, is presently the Secretary of the Department of Higher Education in the Union Ministry of Education.
Murthy is set to replace incumbent CAG, Girish Chandra Murmu, who assumed office on August 8, 2020. Before being the CAG, Murmu was the first Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Comptroller and Auditor General of India is empowered to audit all union and state government departments,
including railways, defence, India post, and telecommunications. Moreover, the CAG can audit over 1500 public commercial enterprises, over 400 non-commercial autonomous bodies, various bodies and authorities “substantially financed” from union government bodies and local bodies, Panchayati raj institutions.
The Indian Army successfully conducted the Multilateral Annual Joint Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) Exercise, 'Sanyukt Vimochan 2024' at Ahmedabad and Porbandar on 18-19 November 2024. General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Army Staff attended this significant event which showcased India's disaster response readiness.

This prestigious international award has been given to CIL for exemplary work in the field of CSR i.e Thalassemia Bal Sewa Yojna for permanent curative treatment of more than 600 Thalassemia patients,
through stem cell transplant also known as Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT).
CIL, in 2017 became the first Public Sector Undertakings to take up the CSR project for curative treatment of Thalassemia through BMT operations across the country. Under this scheme, financial assistance upto to Rs.10 lakh is provided by CIL for the BMT.
Punit Goenka resigned as the Managing Director of the company, to be appointed as the CEO of the company of Zee Entertainment Enterprises (ZEE).
The move has been initiated so that Goenka can focus entirely on operational responsibilities assigned to him by the board of the company.

India's veteran compound archers, Jyothi Surekha Vennam and Abhishek Verma clinched the gold and silver medals in their respective events at the GT Open in Strassen, Luxembourg. This was the second of the four Indoor World Series 250 Tournaments at the 2025 Indoor Archery season, after the Swiss Open Lausanne earlier this November.

State Bank of India (SBI) has raised $500 million via five-year bonds from international investors through its London branch at very fine pricing, with the state-owned lender receiving as much as $3 billion in bids for the debt sale, said sources aware of the development.
The bonds have been priced 82 basis points (bps) above the US Treasury, sources said. The initial pricing guidance for the issuance was 115 bps over the US Treasury but the state-owned lender managed to compress the pricing and the final pricing guidance came in at T+ 82 bps, managing a compression of 33 bps. One basis point is one-hundredth of a percentage point.
SBI will use the proceeds of the issuance for general corporate purposes, and to meet the funding requirement of its foreign offices/branches. HSBC was one of the arrangers of the issue.
Previously, the state-owned lender had raised $600 million in January from global investors by selling five-year papers. The bonds were priced 117 bps over the US Treasury.
