ECGC PO Syllabus 2023: The Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India (ECGC) conducts probationary officer or PO recruitment each year. This year, ECGC released a short notification for the recruitment of PO in specialist cadre on 31 March 2023. The detailed notification will be released on 19th April 2023. ECGC PO Syllabus 2023: Exam Pattern
As per the latest ECGC PO exam pattern, the candidates have to appear for the exam in the online mode. The candidate will have to compete and qualify in both the tests and score the minimum marks to be eligible for the ECGC PO post. The online test is an MCQ pattern test. The descriptive paper starts only once the complete time for the objective paper is over. The candidate will have to type in their answers to the descriptive paper online on a computer. In the objective paper, too the candidate has to mark the correct answer on the computer. There are sectional timings in each section in the objective paper. The candidate will be awarded 1 mark for every right answer, and there will be a penalty of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer. The candidates need to clear both the levels to reach the next selection round in the ECGC PO exam pattern.
Objective Paper
The ECGC PO is an online examination that tests the candidates through both objective and descriptive questions. The candidate needs to answer 200 questions, and the total marks are also 200. The test duration is 140 minutes. You will be awarded 1 mark for each right answer, and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Descriptive Paper
The descriptive paper carries a total of 40 marks and needs to be completed in 40 minutes. There will be two sections here. One will be essay writing, and the other will be precis writing. The candidate will be given two options in each section to choose from. The candidate has to answer two questions in the section, and each question carries 20 marks.

Interview
The candidates who clear the written exam and score the ECGC PO cutoff marks are called for the interview rounds. The interview stage carries 60 marks, and the candidate should qualify in this round too. There are minimum qualifying marks also set for each category of student. The candidates who belong to the unreserved category need to score at least 40% of the total marks. The candidates who belong to the SC/ST, OBC and PWBD categories need to score 35% of the total marks. There is an 80:20 weightage ratio in the online examination and the interview.
