Can 12 pass apply for RRB Paramedical exam?
Yes, 12th-pass candidates can apply for certain RRB Paramedical posts, but not for every post. For example, ECG Technician, Radiographer X-Ray Technician and Lab Assistant Grade II permit 10+2 qualifications along with the prescribed technical qualification. Other posts require degrees, diplomas, professional registrations or specific experience. The post-wise educational qualifications are given below:

What is the RRB Paramedical Nationality Criteria 2026?
Candidates are not restricted only to Indian citizens. Under CEN No. 05/2026, an eligible candidate may be:
- A citizen of India
- A citizen of Nepal
- A subject of Bhutan
- A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India
Candidates belonging to the specified Nepal, Bhutan or migrant categories must have the required Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Government of India.

Is Domicile Required for RRB Paramedical Recruitment 2026?
The detailed CEN No. 05/2026 does not prescribe a general state or regional domicile requirement for RRB Paramedical eligibility.
Candidates can select one RRB and give preferences for eligible posts and Railway Zones available under that RRB. Submitting multiple applications to the same or different RRBs can result in rejection and debarment.
What are the RRB Paramedical Medical Standards?
Candidates must meet the medical fitness standard prescribed for the post they select. The 9 notified posts fall under B1, C1 or C2 medical standards. Candidates failing the prescribed medical standard will not be offered an alternative appointment.
