4. SEBI Grade A Recruitment 2020 – Eligibility Criteria

4.1. SEBI Grade A Officer – Age Limit (as on 29/02/2020):

A candidate must not have exceeded the age of 30 years as on February 29, 2020, the candidate must have been born on or after March 01, 1990.

4.2. SEBI Grade A Officer – Educational Qualification

Any candidate with a Masters degree in any discipline is eligible to apply for the General post of SEBI Grade A 2020 Recruitment Notification.

  • There shall be negative marking (1/4th of marks assigned to the question) for the Paper 1 and Paper 2 in Phase I.

Aggregate Cut off for Phase 2 – 40%.

Note:

  • For candidates who have applied in multiple streams, Paper-II will be conducted in various shifts, the timings of which will be intimated in the Hall Ticket.
  • There shall be negative marking (1/4th of marks assigned to the question) for Paper 2 in Phase II (except IT stream for which details shall be informed in due course).
  • There shall be a cut-off of a minimum of 30% for Paper 1 and a cut-off of a minimum of 40% for Paper 2 in Phase II.
  • Candidates would need to secure separate cut-off in each paper as mentioned at (iv) above as well as aggregate cut-off marks of 40% in Phase II exam (weightage of 1/3rd for Paper 1 and 2/3rd for Paper 2) to be shortlisted for Phase III. 
  • Subject to the criteria mentioned at (v) above, candidates equaling 3 times the number of vacancies shall be shortlisted, in order of merit, for Phase III i.e. the Interview. List of candidates shortlisted for Interview will be made available on SEBI website.

SEBI Grade A Phase 3 – Interview

Interview: Only the shortlisted candidates will be called for Application fee shall not be refunded to the candidates not shortlisted for Phase II and Interview. The candidate may opt for interview either in Hindi or English. Weightage of marks obtained in Phase II will be 85%, while marks obtained in interview shall be given a weightage of 15%.



6. SEBI Grade A Salary 2020

Pay: The pay scale of officers in Grade A is Rs. 28150-1550(4)-34350-1750(7)-46600-EB-1750(4)-53600- 2000(1)-55600 (17 years).

6.1. SEBI Grade A In-hand Salary 2020

Presently, the gross emolument including SEBI’s Contribution towards National Pension Scheme (NPS), Grade Allowance, Special Allowance, Dearness Allowance, Family Allowance, Local Allowance etc. at Mumbai at the minimum of this scale is approx. Rs. 1,07,000/- p.m. without accommodation and Rs. 73,000/- p.m. with accommodation.

9.2. How to fill the SEBI 2020 Application Form?

9.2.1. Application Registration
  • Scan their photograph and signature ensuring that both the photograph and signature adhere to the required specifications as given under Guidelines for uploading of photograph & signature scan.
  • The left thumb impression should be properly scanned and not smudged. (If a candidate is not having left thumb, he/she may use his/ her right thumb for applying)
  • Scan the handwriting declaration ensuring that the document adheres to the required specifications as given under Guidelines for uploading of handwriting The text for the handwritten declaration is as follows:

“I,               (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”

  • Have a valid personal email ID and mobile number, which should be kept active till the completion of this Recruitment Process.
9.2.2. Application Procedure
  • Use the link given above to redirect you to the application page.
  • To register application, choose the tab “CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION“. Enter your Name, Contact details and Email-ID.
  • A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Candidate should note down the Provisional Registration Number and Password.
  • An Email & SMS indicating the Provisional Registration number and Password will also be sent. 
  • In case you are unable to complete the application form in one go, you can save the data already entered by choosing “SAVE AND NEXT” tab. Before submission of the online application, use the “SAVE AND NEXT” facility to verify the details in the online application form and modify the same if required.
  • You are advised to carefully fill and verify the details filled in the online application themselves as no change will be possible/ entertained after clicking the “FINAL SUBMIT” BUTTON.
  • Your name and the name of your Father/ Husband etc. should be spelt correctly in the application as it appears in the Certificates/ Mark sheets. Any change/alteration found may disqualify the candidature.
  • Validate your details and Save your application by clicking the “VALIDATE YOUR DETAILS” and “SAVE & NEXT” button. 
  • You can proceed to upload Photo, Signature, Left Thumb impression and handwriting declaration as per the specifications given in the Guidelines detailed under point “C” given below.
  • Click on the Preview Tab to preview and verify the entire application form before “FINAL SUBMIT”.
  • Modify details, if required, and click on “FINAL SUBMIT” only after verifying and ensuring that the photograph, signature uploaded and other details filled by you are correct. 
  • Click on “PAYMENT” Tab and proceed for payment. 
  • Click on the “SUBMIT” button.
9.2.3. Payment of Fees.

You have to pay the requisite fees/intimation charges only through ON-LINE Mode.

9.2.4. Photograph Image.
  • The photograph must be a recent passport size colour picture (4.5cm × 5cm)
  • The picture should be in colour, against a light-coloured.
  • Size of file should be between 20kb-50kb.

  • The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black Ink
  • The applicant has to put his left thumb impression on a white paper with black or blue.
  • The applicant has to write the declaration in English clearly on a white paper with black ink.
  • Size of file should be between 10kb – 20kb for signature and left thumb.
  • For handwriting declaration size of the file should be 20kb – 50 kb.

11. SEBI Grade A Admit Card 2020

Candidates will have to visit the official website for downloading call letters for SEBI Recruitment 2020 online examination. Intimation for downloading call letter will also be sent through email/SMS. Once the candidate clicks the relevant link, he/she can access the window for call letter download.

The candidate is required to use

(i) Registration Number/Roll Number,

(ii) Password/Date of Birth for downloading the call letter.

Candidate needs to affix recent recognizable photograph on the call letter which should be the same as provided during registration and appear at the examination centre with –

    I’m a student of CA Final exams due in the month of June 2020.. Will I be eligible to give exams and attend interview?
    PS: Passing CA examination is not Guaranteed 😅
