As per the UGC NET Notification 2024, the exam pattern for UGC NET 2024 is as follows:

Important Points to Remember

  1. Here are a few important points to remember the questions in Paper I intend to assess the teaching/ research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test the reasoning ability, reading comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness of the candidate.
  2. For each correct response, the candidate will get 2 marks.
  3. There is no negative marking for an incorrect response
  4. Paper II is 100 marks based on the subject selected by the candidate
  5. No marks will be deducted for incorrect answers in the UGC NET 2024 exam.
  6. Unanswered or Marked for Review questions will not be awarded any marks.
  7. All questions in the exam are mandatory and must be attempted.

UGC NET Syllabus 2024 for Paper 1

The knowledge about the complete UGC NET Syllabus 2024 details for Paper 1 of your desired subject helps to plan your timetable and strategize your study in the most effective way. There are a total of seven subjects in UGC NET Paper 1 Syllabus 2024.
