Job Profile for J.E.(Civil Engineering) (Electrical Engineering) (Mechanical Engineering)

A Junior Engineer is primarily responsible for supervising construction and maintenance work and preparing preliminary drawings & estimate and other related work.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Prepares rough drawings, site plans and cost estimates of work required to be executed.
2. Checks and prepares drawings for work/site details and checks 100% work performed under his charge. Records particulars of defective/ substandard work in the site order book and also brings to the notice of his superior officers.
3. Arranges and issues material to the contractors and maintains proper inventory and account of receipts, issues, and balances. Prepares recovery statement for material and other services rendered by FCI for contractor’s accounts and sends the details to Assistant Manager/Senior Assistant Manager for effecting recovery.
4. Records measurements of work done by the contractors/departmental labour and prepares work calculation sheets, lead charts, etc for calculating the quantities of work done.
5. Checks bills, adjustments, transfers, claims, etc and puts up to higher officers. 
6. Prepares and submits returns required from time to time.
7. Ensures safety measures against accidents. 
8. Performs other related works as may be assigned to him.

Job Profile For Assistant Grade

Assistant Grade III (General): The candidates hired for this post will have to look after the Administrative work. Also, the Assistant Grade III (General)Cadre Candidate will take care of Vigilance, PV, Legal, IT, SL/TL.

Assistant Grade III (Technical): The candidate is responsible to safeguard the food grains which are procured or stored in the godowns of FCI. They are also responsible to check the quality of foodgrains during the procurement and after the procurement, they must periodically check and ensure that they are pest-free food grains.

Assistant Grade III (Depo): The candidate posted under this position will be doing fieldwork. Their responsibility is to maintain an environment where the storage loss of grains is very less.

Assistant Grade III (Accounts): The candidate posted under this position will be completely looking after Financial Account Package (FAP).

Assistant Grade-II (Translation): The candidate must be able to translate from Hindi to English and from English to Hindi.
