Selected candidates will be initially posted in NABARD’s Head Office/Regional office/TE for which they have applied. However, they are liable to be transferred anywhere in India. The Development Assistant post in NABARD is a clerical desk post and generally the DAs are based in the State capital where it’s Regional office is located Or in its Head Office in Mumbai. As on date there are no rural branches of the bank other than the District Office managed by a single officer.
NABARD development assistant provide assistance in various departments of the regional offices/ HO departments.
So basically NABARD Development Assistant can get posted anywhere in India where NABARD offices are located most probably in a city.
NABARD Development Assistant Salary
Pay Scale – Selected Candidates will draw a starting basic pay of Rs. 14,650/- per month (including two advance increments) in the scale of Rs.13150 -750(3) -15400 -900(4) -19000 -1200 (6) -26200 -1300 (2)-28800-1480 (3)-33240 -1750(1) – 34990 (20 years) and other allowances, viz. Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance etc., as admissible from time to time. At present, initial monthly Gross emoluments for Development Assistant/Development Assistant (Hindi) is approximately Rs.32,000/-.

Case, Book Grant, Allowance for furnishing of residence, etc., as per eligibility, dispensary facility besides reimbursement of medical expenses for OPD treatment/hospitalization as per eligibility; Interest free Festival Advance, Leave Travel Concession (once in two years for self, spouse and eligible dependents). NABARD’s main focus is to uplift rural India by increasing the credit flow for the elevation of agriculture & rural non-farm sector. As a NABARD Development Assistant, you will handle a variety of tasks related to institutional and individual giving. Some of the basic responsibilities assigned to Development Assistants are:
- Dealing with policy related issues of various programmes of central/state government and same for whole rural and agriculture development.
- Managing relationships with current and prospective donors of bank organization.
- Increasing the membership counts and seeking multiple ways to increase funds.

Age Criteria
- Minimum: 21 years
- Maximum: 35 years
Candidates born not earlier than 02 September 1987 and not later than 01 September 2001 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply. Age relaxation is provided as per the table mentioned below.
