NABARD Grade A Eligibility: The NABARD Grade A Exam 2025 is conducted to recruit Assistant Managers across various disciplines. NABARD Grade A Eligibility 2025

 

The NABARD Grade A Eligibility 2025 is measured in terms of age limit, nationality, number of attempts, experience and educational qualification. To be eligible for the NABARD Grade A Exam, the candidates must be graduates and between the age of 21 and 30 years. Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD) or a postgraduate degree with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD) from a recognized university.  It is important to note that any graduate can apply as per NABARD Grade A Notification.

What is the Age Relaxation for OBC/SC/ST in NABARD Grade A?

 

In the NABARD Grade A exam, candidates from reserved categories get relaxation in the upper age limit as per government rules. OBC candidates get a relaxation of 3 years, while candidates belonging to SC and ST categories get a relaxation of 5 years. 

This means the maximum age limit for OBC applicants is 33 years, and for SC/ST applicants, it is 35 years. The age relaxation helps ensure equal opportunities for candidates from all backgrounds to apply for the NABARD Grade A posts.

What are the Educational Qualifications for NABARD Grade A?

 

The educational qualification for NABARD Grade A varies depending on the post and discipline.

For the General discipline, candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in any subject with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD) or a Postgraduate degree, MBA/PGDM, CA, CS, CMA, ICWA, or Ph.D.

For specialized streams like Finance, IT, Agriculture, Law, and others, candidates need a Bachelor's or Master's degree in the relevant field with the required percentage. All qualifications must be from universities or institutions recognized by the Government of India or UGC.

1. General Instructions

 

The details of the general instruction are as follows:

PWBD relaxationsPWBD candidates applying against Unreserved (UR) posts are not eligible for relaxation in educational qualification percentage. However, they may be eligible for age and fee relaxation. No age relaxation is available for Assistant Manager (Protocol & Security).
Cut-off date for qualificationsThe required educational qualification and final result must be declared on or before 01.11.2025. Results declared after this date will not be accepted.
Specialization proofIf the degree/diploma certificate does not mention the specialization, the candidate must provide a certificate from the university/college specifying it. A Bachelor's degree in a particular discipline means that the subject was the main field of study and must be mentioned in the Degree Certificate.
Recognized institutionsAll qualifications must be from Universities/Institutions established by Central/State Legislature, by an Act of Parliament, or declared as "Deemed to be University" under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.

2. Academic Qualifications for Assistant Manager (RDBS)

 

The details of the academic qualification for the NABARD Grade A RDBS are as follows:

(iv) Finance

One of the following:

• BBA (Finance/Banking) or BMS (Finance/Banking) with 60% (SC/ST/PWBD: 55%), OR

• Two‑year full‑time PG Diploma in Management (Finance) / Full‑time MBA (Finance) / MMS (Finance) with 55% (SC/ST/PWBD: 50%) and Bachelor's degree in any discipline; certificate showing finance specialization required, OR

• Bachelor of Financial and Investment Analysis with 60% (SC/ST/PWBD: 55%), OR

• Bachelor's degree + ICAI membership (obtained on or before 01‑11‑2025), OR

• Bachelor's degree + ACMA/FCMA (ICMAI) membership (obtained on or before 01‑11‑2025), OR

• Bachelor's degree + CFA (CFA Institute, USA) OR FRM (GARP).

(v) Computer / IT

One of the following:

• Four‑year B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Computer Applications / IT / Electronics / E&TC / E&C / Data Science / AI & ML with 60% (SC/ST/PWBD: 55%), OR

• Post‑Grad degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Computer Applications/IT/Electronics/Data Science/AI & ML with 55% (SC/ST/PWBD: 50%), OR

• Graduate with 60% (SC/ST/PWBD: 55%) AND DOEACC ‘B' Level.

(vi) Agriculture Engineering

B.Tech/B.E. in Agriculture Engineering with 60% (PWBD: 55%) OR 

Post‑Grad in Agriculture Engineering with 55% (PWBD: 50%).

(vii) Plantation & Horticulture

B.Sc. Horticulture with 60% (PWBD: 55%) OR 

Post‑Grad in Horticulture with 55% (PWBD: 50%).

(viii) Fisheries

B.F.Sc. (Fisheries Science) with 60% (ST/PWBD: 55%) OR 

Post‑Grad in Fisheries Science with 55% (ST/PWBD: 50%).

(ix) Food Processing

B.Tech / B.Sc. in Food Processing / Food Technology / Dairy Technology with 60% (SC/PWBD: 55%) OR 

Post‑Grad in same with 55% (SC/PWBD: 50%).

(x) Land Development & Soil Science

B.Sc. in Soil Science / Agriculture / Environmental Science with 60% (PWBD: 55%) OR 

Post‑Grad in these with 55% (PWBD: 50%).

(xi) Civil Engineering

B.E./B.Tech in Civil/Structural Engineering with 60% (SC/ST/PWBD: 55%) OR 

Post‑Grad in Civil/Structural with 55% (SC/ST/PWBD: 50%).

(xii) Electrical Engineering

B.E./B.Tech in Electrical / EEE / Power Systems with 60% (PWBD: 55%) OR 

Post‑Grad in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics/Power Systems with 55% (PWBD: 50%).

(xiii) Media SpecialistPost‑Graduate degree in Mass Media / Mass Communication / Communication / Journalism with 55% (PWBD: 50%).
(xiv) Economics

Post‑Graduate degree in Applied Economics with 55% (SC/PWD: 50%). 

Only candidates with Economics as one of the main subjects in all years/semesters of the course are eligible.

3. Academic Qualifications for Assistant Manager (Legal Service)

 

The details of the academic qualification for the NABARD Grade A Legal Services are as follows:

  • Graduation must be from any recognized University/Institution with a minimum of 60% marks (SC/ ST/ PWBD applicants – 55%) in aggregate for both RDBS & Legal Service.
  • Post Graduation must be from any recognized University/Institution with a minimum of 55% marks (SC/ ST/ PWBD applicants – 50%) in aggregate.

4. Academic Qualifications for Assistant Manager (Protocol & Security Service)

 

To be eligible for the post of Assistant Manager in Grade ‘A' (Protocol & Security Service), candidates must meet the following criteria:

Professional / Service QualificationCandidates must be Officers with a minimum of 10 years of Commissioned Service in the Army, Navy, or Air Force holding a valid Ex-Serviceman Identity Card. 
PWBD candidates require a minimum of 5 years of service.
Additional Conditions- Short Service Commissioned Officers who have completed 10 years of continuous service and are due to be released on or before 31 October 2026 are eligible. 
- Release must not be due to misconduct, inefficiency, or unrelated physical disability. 
- Officers whose service has been extended beyond 10 years may submit a certificate from the Ministry of Defence confirming release within three months of joining if selected.

NABARD Grade A Nationality

 

As per the latest official notification, the NABARD Grade A Eligibility criteria clearly state that only Indian citizens are eligible to apply for the Assistant Manager recruitment exam. This means that candidates must hold Indian citizenship at the time of registration. Any applicant who does not meet this basic nationality requirement under NABARD Grade A Eligibility will not be considered for the selection process.

 

How Many Attempts are Allowed for NABARD Grade A?
