NICL Assistant Syllabus 2026, Prelims & Mains, Topic Wise Weightage

The NICL Assistant Syllabus 2026 is out, along with the confirmed exam schedule. National Insurance Company Limited released the Assistant Notification 2026 on 17th July 2026, confirming the Prelims exam on 27th August 2026 and the Mains exam on 30th October 2026. The selection process includes two online exams, Prelims and Mains, followed by a regional language test. The syllabus mainly covers English language, reasoning ability, numerical ability, general awareness, and computer knowledge. Understanding the syllabus clearly helps candidates plan their preparation in a simple and effective way.

 

NICL Assistant Syllabus 2026

 

Phase I (Prelims) and Phase II (Mains) of the NICL Assistant online exam cover a similar syllabus: English Language, Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability/Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, and Computer Knowledge but the difficulty level is not the same. Phase II questions go deeper into each topic and are noticeably tougher than Phase I. To help candidates prepare properly, here is the subject-wise list of topics for both phases.

 

What are the stages in the NICL Assistant Exam?

 

The NICL Assistant Exam 2026 is conducted in three stages. The Prelims exam is on 27th August 2026, followed by the Mains exam on 30th October 2026. Candidates who clear Mains then appear for the Regional Language Test, which is qualifying in nature. There is no interview in the NICL Assistant selection process.
