The SSC JE Notification will be released on 5th August 2025, and the Application Process will continue until 28th August 2025 for the recruitment of Junior Engineers in the Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical fields for various Government of India organizations and offices. The positions are Group 'B' (Non-Gazetted), Non-Ministerial, in Level-6 of the pay matrix under the 7th Central Pay Commission. The SSC JE Salary 2025 will also include:

  • Basic Pay: Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400
  • Dearness Allowance (DA): 53% of Basic Pay (Revised)
  • House Rent Allowance (HRA): 10% to 30% of Basic Pay

How to Calculate the SSC JE 2025 Salary?

 

Calculating the SSC JE salary is important for candidates who want to understand their earnings in various government positions. The salary varies by post and city of posting.

1. Know the Basic PayBasic pay at the pay level:
Level-6: Rs. 35,400
2. Calculate AllowancesVarious allowances are provided
Dearness Allowance (DA): 53% of basic pay
House Rent Allowance (HRA): 30% for X Categories, 20% for Y Categories, 10% for Z Categories
Transport Allowance (TA): Rs. 5,400 or Rs. 1,800 based on pay level
3. Add Travel AllowancesInclude travel allowances and any government contributions.
4. Calculate Gross SalaryAdd all these amounts to get your gross salary.
5. Deduct ContributionsSubtract the National Pension System (NPS) {both Self-paid and government contribution}, Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS), and Central Government Employees Group Insurance Scheme (CGEGIS) from your gross salary.
