The US Navy welcomed its first Black female Tactical Aircraft pilot. Madeline-Swegle had completed naval flight school and would later this month receive the flight officer insignia known as the "Wings of the Gold".
Swegle is the Navy’s first known Black female TACAIR pilot.
China’s Kuaizhou-11 carrier rocket suffered a failure during its maiden flight. The rocket was launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre in northwest China but a malfunction occurred during the flight, according to Chinese news agency Xinhua.

Renowned cartoonist Avad Bin Hassan Jami, popularly known as "Jami" passed away in Jamnagar. His cartoons regularly published in leading Gujarati daily newspapers and news magazines for more than two decades. He was a drawing teacher at Kendra Vidyalaya.
He became a full-time cartoonist after retirement.
Veteran Gujarati journalist, columnist, writer and political analyst Nagindas Sanghvi passed away in Surat. Mr Sangvi was conferred Padma Shri award in the year 2019. He had written many books on Mahatma Gandhi, Gujarat and other subjects.
