Following line graph shows the number of persons not attending seminar out of total persons and percentage of number of males attending seminar out of total persons attending seminar from city A, B, C and D.

Table shows the ratio between number of male to female not attending seminar from various cities.

If difference between the total number of male and female attended seminar from city A is 192 and total females attended the seminar from city D is 864, then find the ratio between total number of people in city A to the total number of persons attending seminar from city D.

Let the total number of persons in city A and city D be x and y respectively,

Number of persons attended seminar from city A = 0.4x

Difference between number of male and female attended seminar = 0.4x * 20/100

=> 0.08x

0.08x = 192

x = 2400

Number of persons attended seminar from city D = 0.8y

Number of females attended seminar from city D = 0.8 * 30/100 = 0.24y

0.24y = 864

y = 3600

Total number of persons in city A = 2400

Total number of persons attending seminar from city D = 3600 * 80/100 = 2880

Required ratio = 2400 : 2880 = 5 : 6
