Question :

In the question a statement is given and is followed by two conclusions. You have to take the given statement to be true even if they seem to be at variance from commonly known facts, then select the proper alternative.

Statement: One of the most important sectors of the Indian economy remains Agriculture. Its share in the GDP of the country has declined and is currently at 14%. However, more than 50% of the total population of the country is still dependent on agriculture.

Conclusion:

I. Government should help the poor farmers by giving them farming machines, improved seed varieties, fertilizer and pesticides to increase farming.

II. Government should start a scheme, that all the people of the country should plant at least one tree per month.
