2.Only II
3.Only III
4.Both I and III
5.All I, II, and III
Correct Answer : 4
Solution :
A possible reason is a piece of unstated information which holds strong links with the
passage/situation.
The passage states that the encroachment of forest lands increased during 2019 and 2020. The statement in II is not a logical one and thus is not a possible reason. Therefore, statement II is incorrect.
As tourists love to enjoy areas nearby forests, some people will build structures to attract and accommodate these tourists to earn some money. So, it could be a possible reason for the encroachment. So, statement I is correct.
Since land is limited, its value will increase day by day. So, people will try to encroach on the forest areas to build homes. Thus, statement III is a possible reason.
Hence, option (d) is the correct answer.
