The VAIBHAV (Vaishvik Bharatiya Vaigyanik) Fellowship Programme, launched by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), aims to foster collaboration between the Indian STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine) diaspora and Indian academic and research institutions. The fellowship facilitates short-term engagements, allowing scientists of Indian origin residing abroad to spend up to two months per year in India for a maximum of three years. During this period, they collaborate with Indian institutions to share knowledge, expertise, and best practices in frontier areas of science and technology.
