About the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) 

Reserve Bank of India (RBI), the country's central bank was established in 1935. Although it was formerly privately owned, since its nationalization in 1949, the RBI is wholly owned by the Government of India. It is responsible for currency issuance and circulation, maintaining financial stability, and managing government accounts.

Officers in Grade ‘B' (DR)–DEPRA Master's Degree in Economics (or any other master's degree where "Economics" is the principal constituent* of the curriculum/syllabus, namely MA / MSc in Quantitative Economics, Mathematical Economics, Financial Economics, Business Economics, Agricultural Economics, and Industrial Economics) OR
b. A Master's Degree in Finance (or any other master's degree where "Finance" is the principal constituent* of the curriculum/syllabus, namely MA / MSc in Quantitative Finance, Mathematical Finance, Quantitative Techniques, International Finance, Business Finance, Banking and Trade Finance, International and Trade Finance, Project and Infrastructure Finance, Agri Business Finance).

RBI Grade B Negative Marking

There is a negative marking in the RBI Grade B Phase 1 exam. 1/4th of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted for every wrong/incorrect answer. 

RBI Grade B Phase 2 Exam Pattern

The RBI Grade B Mains exam consists of three papers: Paper 1, Paper 2 and Paper 3. Paper 1 and 3 are a combination of both objective and descriptive questions, while Paper 2 is completely descriptive in nature. The detailed format is presented below in a tabular format.

RBI Grade B Interview

The final stage in the selection process is Interview. Check out the points mentioned below for the interview stage:

Important Points for RBI Grade B Interview
Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview, based on the aggregate of marks obtained in Phase 2 (Paper 1 + Paper 2 + Paper 3). 
The interview will comprise 75 marks. 
The candidate shall be required to undergo a Psychometric Test conducted by the Bank before appearing for the Interview. No marks will be allotted for the same and this will not form part of the final selection criteria.
Candidates may opt for an interview either in Hindi or English.

Note: Final Selection will be through a merit list which will be prepared by adding marks secured by candidates in the Phase 2 examination and interview and grace marks as applicable as per extant rules.

A. The RBI Grade B exam is conducted in three stages: Phase I (Prelims), Phase 2 (Mains), and the Interview round.
