Candidates with a bachelor's degree in Science (Physics, Computer Science, IT) or Diploma in Engineering (Electronics and Telecommunication) are eligible for this post. SSC Scientific Assistant Eligibility - Eligibility criteria
Crucial date for claim of SC/ ST/ OBC/ EWS/ PwBD status or any other benefit viz. fee concession, reservation, age-relaxation, etc., where not specified otherwise, will be the closing date for receipt of online applications i.e.18 October 2022. Educational Criteria
- Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Science with Physics as one of the key subjects/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Computer Applications or a Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from a Recognised Institute.
- Candidates must be completed their full-time 3 years diploma course after the 10+2 examination.
- Candidate must be passed 10+2 from a recognized institute with Physics and Mathematics as core subjects.
Percentages and marks for SSC Scientific Assistant
- The qualifying Degree or Diploma referred above should be in First Class (60% marks) or 6.75 CGPA on a 10 point scale.
- The qualifying Degree or Diploma referred above must be of three (3) years duration after (10+2) examination.
- The applicant must have passed 10+2 Examination from a Recognized Board or equivalent in Science with Physics and Mathematics as core subjects.
Final Year Students Eligibility
- The candidates who have appeared in their final year of their graduation can also apply, however they must possess essential qualification on or before the cut-off date i.e.18 October 2022.
- Result of requisite educational qualification must have been declared by the Institute/ University by 18 October 2022. Mere processing of the result by the University/ Institute by the cut-off date does not fulfill the EQ requirement.
Compensatory Time and Assistance of Scribe Eligibility
In case of persons with benchmark disabilities in the following categories can avail scribe services:
OA - One Arm affected
OL - One-Leg Affected
Dw - Dwarfism and
AAV - Acid Attack Victim
- The candidate will have the discretion of opting for his/her own scribe or to avail the facility of scribe provided by the Commission.
- The qualification of the scribe should be one step below the qualification of the candidate taking the examination.
- A compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour of examination will be provided to the persons who are allowed use of scribe.
