ICAR IARI Technician Eligibility: The ICAR IARI Technician Eligibility must be met with every aspirant. The educational eligibility criteria required is a Matriculation pass. The age limit required is 18 to 30 years (upper age limit relaxations will be provided according to Government directives). Eligible candidates can apply for this recruitment through the official website of the Institute. ICAR Technician Eligibility 2025

 

Candidates who are planning to apply for the ICAR IARI Technician 2025 exam are strongly advised to carefully review the eligibility criteria, including age limit, educational qualification, and category-based relaxations, before proceeding with the application process to ensure they meet all the requirements.

 

ICAR IARI Technician Educational Qualification 

 

The candidates must fulfil the educational requirement to take the ICAR IARI Technician Recruitment examination. The minimum required qualification is mentioned below:

  • Matriculation pass from a recognized Board.
  • Candidate must specify their percentage of marks obtained (calculated to the nearest two decimals) in the application form.
  • Where the percentage of marks is not awarded by the University and only CGPA/ OGPA is awarded, the same shall be converted into percentage in terms of the conversion norms of the University.
  • Candidates will have to produce the certificate issued by the University stating the conversion formula of the University during the document verification. The Round-off percentage will not be accepted.

ICAR IARI Technician Age Limit

 

The candidates should be aware of the age requirements for the post of Technician (T- 1). The minimum and maximum age limit for the said post is set by the ICAR IARI. The upper age limit relaxation is provided for the reserved categories. The relaxation for candidates is decided according to the rules and regulations of the Government. Age requirements for the ICAR IARI Technician examination are as under:

ICAR IARI Technician Nationality

 

Candidates applying for the post of ICAR IARI Technician (T-1) should be either:

a) A citizen of India, or
b) A citizen of Nepal, or 
c) A citizen of Bhutan, or
d) A Tibetan refugee who came to India before the 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
e) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Burma, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Ethiopia, Zaire, and Vietnam to permanently settle in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Indian Government. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be permitted to sit for the examination, but the appointment may be given after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Indian Government.

ICAR IARI Technician Eligibility For Serving Candidates

 

Candidates already serving on a permanent or temporary (under probation) basis in the Indian Council of Agricultural Research or other Government departments must inform in writing to the Head of their concerned Department that they have applied for the ICAI IARI Technician (T-1). Candidates should note that if their department communicates to the IARI withholding permission for the candidate to apply for taking the exam, the application of such a candidate will be rejected. 

 

ICAR IARI Technician Number Of Attempts

 

The Board has not set any restrictions on the number of attempts by a candidate. Candidates can apply as many times as they want as long as they fulfil the age criteria.

Annual family income < ₹8,00,000.Excludes candidates owning:

a) ≥ 5 acres agricultural land

b) Flat ≥ 1000 sq.ft.

c) Plot ≥ 100 sq. yards in municipalities

d) Plot ≥ 200 sq. yards in non-municipal areas

Valid Income & Asset Certificate (Annexure VI).If not fulfilling EWS, but meeting UR criteria, considered under UR.
PwBDDisability ≥ 40%.Certificate as per Form V, VI, VII of Rights of PwD Rules 2017.Old certificates under 1995 Act still valid for specified period.Disability certificate issued by Competent Authority.Appointment only after Medical Examination confirming fitness for post.
Ex-Servicemen
  • Defined as per Ex-servicemen (Re-employment in Civil Services & Posts) Rules, 1979.Age relaxation as per Govt. rules.
  • Defence personnel to be released within 1 year of application closing date are eligible.
  • Already employed Ex-servicemen in Group C/D get only category age relaxation.
  • Can avail reservation for future jobs if applied before joining civil job and declare it to employer.

Defence service certificate issued by Competent Authority.

 

NOC from current civil employer if applicable.

Eligible for both reserved & unreserved posts based on criteria.
