- b) A subject of Nepal,
- c) A subject of Bhutan,
- d) A Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of settling permanently,
- e) A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

- Cumulative Age Relaxation:
- If a candidate is eligible for relaxation under multiple categories mentioned above, the age relaxation will be cumulative. However, the maximum age should not exceed 45 years.

- Candidates seeking age relaxation are required to submit copies of the necessary certificate(s).
- Original certificate(s) must be produced for verification at the time of the interview and/or any subsequent stage of the recruitment process.
Note for Ex-Servicemen:
i. Re-employment Status:
- An Ex-serviceman, upon joining a government job on the civil side after utilizing benefits for re-employment, loses the Ex-servicemen status for further re-employment purposes. However, the individual remains eligible for age relaxation applicable to ex-servicemen.
ii. Application Benefits:
- Ex-servicemen applying for vacancies before joining civil employment can avail reservation benefits for subsequent employment. To do so, they must provide a self-declaration/undertaking to the employer detailing the date-wise application for various vacancies before joining civil employment. This benefit applies only to vacancies filled through direct recruitment with applicable reservation for ex-servicemen.
iii. Officer Cadre Reservation:
- There is no reservation for Ex-servicemen in the Officer Cadre.

A. Ex-Servicemen (EXSM):
- Candidates meeting the revised definition laid down in the Government of India’s Ministry of Home Affairs Notification No.36034/5/85 Estt. (SCT) dated 27.10.1986, as amended from time to time.
B. Disabled Ex-Servicemen (DISXS):
- Ex-servicemen disabled during service in the Armed Forces against the enemy or in disturbed areas are categorized as DISXS.
C. Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs):
- Under section 34 of “The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016,” persons with benchmark disabilities are eligible for reservation. The Act identifies specific disabilities, including blindness, low vision, deafness, hard of hearing, locomotor disability, cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims, muscular dystrophy, autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability, mental illness, and multiple disabilities. The definitions of these disabilities follow the Schedule of “THE RIGHTS OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES ACT, 2016.”
