Age Relaxation

The respective candidates have an Age Relaxation as per the Government rules. The candidates claiming age relaxation must have authentic documents in hand issued by the government or respected authority.

Course Completed Act Apprentices applying for the posts for which minimum qualification is ITI/Course Completed Act Apprenticeship.	Shall be relaxed to the extent of Apprentice Training undergone by them under the Apprentice Act 1961.
Candidates who are Course Completed Act Apprentice under the Apprenticeship Act before attaining the age of 25 years of UR Category	35 years of age
Candidates who are Course Completed Act Apprentice under the Apprenticeship Act before attaining the age of 25 years of OBC-NCL (Non-Creamy Layer) Category	38 years of age

RRB ALP Education Qualification 2024

Candidates aspiring to become Assistant Loco Pilots through the Railway Recruitment Board must fulfill specific educational qualifications as outlined in the RRB ALP Eligibility Criteria 2024. The table below provides a detailed overview of the required educational qualifications.

Mechanical	– Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT/SCVT OR – Matriculation / SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship OR – 3 years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering OR – Combination of various streams of these Engineering disciplines from a recognized Institution instead of ITI.

Candidates interested in applying for this position must fulfill one of the following sets of qualifications:

1. Matriculation / SSLC along with ITI from recognized institutions accredited by NCVT/SCVT in the following trades:
   • Fitter
   • Electrician
   • Instrument Mechanic
   • Millwright / Maintenance Mechanic
   • Mechanic (Radio & TV)
   • Electronics Mechanic
   • Mechanic (Motor Vehicle)
   • Wireman

2. Matriculation / SSLC along with completion of Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in any of the trades mentioned above.
3. Matriculation / SSLC along with a three-year Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile Engineering.
4. Combination of various streams of the aforementioned Engineering disciplines from a recognized institution in place of ITI.

Note: A degree in the specified Engineering disciplines mentioned above will also be considered as equivalent to a Diploma in Engineering.

RRB ALP Nationality 2024

Candidates applying for the RRB ALP post must be Indian citizens. The RRB ALP Eligibility Criteria 2024 includes three main parameters, one of which is nationality. To meet the nationality requirement, a candidate must be one of the following:

• A citizen of India,
• A subject of Nepal,
• A subject of Bhutan,
• A Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India,
• A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or the East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam to permanently settle in India.

RRB ALP Medical Qualification 2024

Selected candidates for the document verification stage must undergo a medical aptitude test conducted by the railway authorities to ensure they meet the required health standards for their job role. The detailed medical requirements for the RRB ALP position are provided in the table below.

RRB ALP Eligibility 2024 – Number of Attempts

There are no restrictions on the number of attempts. Candidates can take the examination as long as they meet the other eligibility criteria.
