RRB ALP Eligibility Criteria 2024

The eligibility criteria for RRB ALP is based on three factors

RRB ALP Age Limit 2024

  • Minimum: 18 years
  • Maximum: 33 years

The age criteria will be considered as of the 01/07/2024.

The respective candidates have an Age Relaxation as per the Government rules. The candidates claiming age relaxation must have authentic documents in hand issued by the government or respected authority.

The eligibility criteria for the RRB ALP position outlines the necessary educational qualifications for the role of Assistant Loco Pilot. Candidates interested in applying for this position must fulfill one of the following sets of qualifications:

  1. Matriculation / SSLC along with ITI from recognized institutions accredited by NCVT/SCVT in the following trades:
    • Fitter
    • Electrician
    • Instrument Mechanic
    • Millwright / Maintenance Mechanic
    • Mechanic (Radio & TV)
    • Electronics Mechanic
    • Mechanic (Motor Vehicle)
    • Wireman
    • Tractor Mechanic
    • Armature & Coil Winder
    • Mechanic (Diesel)
    • Heat Engine
    • Turner
    • Machinist
    • Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Mechanic
  2. Matriculation / SSLC along with completion of Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in any of the trades mentioned above.
  3. Matriculation / SSLC along with a three-year Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile Engineering.
  4. Combination of various streams of the aforementioned Engineering disciplines from a recognized institution in place of ITI.

Note: A degree in the specified Engineering disciplines mentioned above will also be considered as equivalent to a Diploma in Engineering.

Nationality

The applicant must be a Citizen of India to apply for the RRB ALP posts.
