The RRB ALP Selection Process 2025 consists of five major stages. These stages include Computer Based Test 1, Computer Based Test 2, Computer Based Aptitude Test, Document Verification, and Medical Examination. RRB ALP Selection Process 2025
Every candidate aspiring to join the Indian Railways in the locomotive department should be aware of the recruitment process as mentioned in the RRB ALP Notification 2025. The CBT 1 examination is the first stage in the recruitment process, which is conducted for 75 marks. Whereas the CBT 2 examination is held for 175 marks. However, candidates who will have to appear for the CBAT test must score at least 42 marks to qualify. There is also no negative marking in this test.
RRB ALP CBT 1 Selection Stage
The first stage in the RRB ALP Selection Process is the Computer-Based Test 1. Candidates will be evaluated by their skills and knowledge in subjects like Maths, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness. The details of the first selection stage is given below:

RRB ALP Computer Based Aptitude Test
Candidates who are applying only for the assistant loco pilot position will have to undergo a computer-based aptitude test. This assessment round is conducted to examine the skills and abilities required for the particular job role. The details of the computer-based aptitude test are given below:
- Test Motive: This test is conducted to evaluate a candidate's decision-making skills
- Qualifying Score: Candidates must score at least 42 marks to qualify for this examination. There is no relaxation provided on the minimum score.
- Scoring System: There is no negative marking in the computer-based aptitude test.

RRB ALP Documents Verification
Upon qualifying the above-mentioned stages, candidates will have to submit their original documents to the board. These documents must be updated and authenticated. In case of any fraud or malpractice, the recruitment of the candidate will be cancelled immediately. Some of the important documents required are as follows:

RRB ALP Medical Examination
The final step in the RRB ALP Selection Process is the medical test. Candidates will be examined by their physical strength, stamina, vision test, and other medical requirements for the job role. For the vision test, candidates must have 6/6 vision without glasses, normal color vision without night blindness. Applicants will also be evaluated by their hearing ability and other medical requirements needed for the locomotive pilot responsibilities.
