SSC CGL Educational Qualification 2024

SSC CGL Qualification 2024 – Graduation Percentage

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) requires candidates to have a graduate degree for the SSC Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination. The specific qualifications needed can vary for different positions, but generally, the percentage of marks in graduation does not matter for most posts.

For those applying for the position of Junior Statistical Officer, at least 60% in 12th-grade Mathematics is required. Candidates for other Posts should have approximately 45% to 50% marks in their graduation to comfortably meet the SSC CGL eligibility criteria.

SSC CGL 2024 – Nationality

  • (a) A citizen of India.
  • (b) A citizen of Nepal.
  • (c) A citizen of Bhutan.
  • (d) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Candidates falling under categories (b), (c), and (d) above must possess a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

SSC CGL Physical Standards

Apart from CBT candidates had to appear for the SSC CGL Physical Eligibility tests for certain posts, which checks if candidates are physically fit for those posts. This includes height, chest measurement, and endurance tests.
