SSC GD Eligibility Criteria

 

Candidates planning to apply online for the SSC GD Constable 2026 need to be familiar with the GD Constable Eligibility Criteria set by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). Although, the SSC GD Notification 2026 is yet to be released on 11th November, 2025 but for the purpose of reference, candidates can refer to the previous year's eligibility criteria. 

  • Nationality: Indian
  • Age Limit: 18 to 23 years (as per General Category) as of 1st January 2025
  • Educational Qualification: 10th Pass or equivalent from a recognized board or university as of 1st January 2025

Additionally, the second stage of the SSC GD Constable Recruitment includes the Physical Standard Test (PST) and the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), which assess candidates' physical fitness. The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) will conduct these SSC GD Physical Tests in 2025, and candidates should ensure they meet the physical requirements outlined by the SSC.

The SSC GD Eligibility, requires candidates must have completed their Class 10th or an equivalent examination. Candidates who have not passed Class 10th or are still appearing for the exam are not eligible.

SSC GD Constable Nationality 2026

 

Only Indian citizens were allowed to apply for SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2025. Candidates must provide proof of their citizenship. For certain vacancies, they may also need to submit a Domicile or Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) from their respective state or Union Territory.

The shortlisted candidates for the SSC GD Constable 2026 Recruitment will undergo a medical examination conducted by Medical Boards set up by the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) to evaluate their physical and medical fitness.   2. Hearing: Clear hearing, with no ear, nose, or throat issues.
  3. Vision: Eyes should be normal, and vision should meet the required standards.
