SSC JHT Nationality
The SSC JHT Eligibility Criteria also include the nationality of the candidates. The details regarding candidates' citizenship are as follows.
A candidate must meet one of the following criteria:
- A citizen of India.
- A citizen of Nepal.
- A citizen of Bhutan.
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam intending to permanently settle in India.
Candidates falling under categories (b), (c), and (d) above must possess a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
SSC JHT Educational Qualification

Candidates must have one of the following qualifications:
- Master's degree from a recognized university in:
- Hindi, with English as a compulsory/elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level, OR
- English, with Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level, OR
- Any other subject with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory/elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level, OR

The SSC JHT Age Limit has been set by the Staff Selection Commission where candidates aged between 18 and 30 years as of 1st August 2024 (as per last year's Notification). This means applicants must have been born on or after 2nd August 1994, and on or before 1st August 2006.
