The Certified Information Technology Audit Professional (CITAP) is a reimagined version of the earlier DISA certification offered by IIBF. Candidates seeking the CITAP qualification need to complete three certificate examinations under the revised syllabus and then complete the mandatory training within the prescribed time limit. The three examinations required are:

  • Certificate Examination in IT Security
  • Certificate Examination in Prevention of Cyber Crimes & Fraud Management
  • Certified Information System Banker (CISB)

After completing the required examinations, candidates must complete the mandatory training to obtain the CITAP certificate. The CITAP registration fee is ₹1,000 plus GST, while the training fee is ₹4,500 plus GST. Candidates who had already cleared any or all of the three examinations under the old syllabus before May 2017 are not eligible for the CITAP certificate.

Candidates who successfully clear the examination can access their result advice through the IIBF website after the result is declared. For passed candidates, a digitally signed certificate is sent to the registered email ID within three weeks after the declaration of the result. The IIBF has discontinued the paper certificate.
